Ravana, the antagonist in the Indian epic Ramayana was a capable ruler, devout Shiv disciple, accomplished scholar, and arts patron. He had defeated not only humans, but also celestials and other demons, establishing himself as the most powerful asura or demon in the three worlds. He was deep when it came to the knowledge of vedas and seemingly shallow when it came to outlook and behavior. The Ravana room, a stunning luxury room in Bandra West, is located on the Tamas floor on Le Sutra Hotel. It explores the paradox that was Ravana.
Bed Type: King
Ravana is a stunning room at Bandra West’s Le Sutra hotel. Ravana’s Doodles, a witty and quirky headboard, is an imaginative depiction of Ravana’s lost and found diary, complete with his thoughts, strategies, tact, and scornful self-impressions. The painting that hangs in the room depicts Ravana in both avatars, as demon king and sage. He holds a veena at Mount Kailash, the holiest peak in the Himalayas, surrounded by the nine planets demonstrating his mastery of music and control over planetary effects. The horns and sceptre chair represents him in his avatar as king of asuras. The metallic sculpture represents Ravana’s ten heads with twenty eyes.
