Le Sutra Logo

A sutra is a thread that binds things together. Le Sutra, the world’s first Indian art hotel, is the realisation of a dream to build a luxury hotel woven with the threads of ancient Indian ethos. Based on the Indian concept of the trigunas, Le Sutra is a canvas painted with magical strokes of Indianness – its philosophy, mythology, art, and history.

Bandra Worli Sea Link

Bandra-Worli Sea Link

The 5.6-kilometer cable-stayed Bandra-Worli sea link is an engineering marvel. It is India’s first bridge of its kind built across open seas. The complex geometry of the pylons has become a staple of the city’s design iconography.

Bandstand Promenade

The Bandstand Promenade, also known as the Bandra Bandstand, is a 1.2-kilometer-long walkway with breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. It’s a great place to unwind and take a peaceful walk, and it’s also home to some interesting landmarks, such as the Hanging Garden, Mount Mary Church, and Bandra Fort. An amphitheatre on the Land’s End side of the promenade hosts cultural events.

Mount Mary

Basilica of Our Lady of the Mount

Mount Mary Church, also known as Our Lady of the Mount Basilica, is a Roman Catholic basilica in Bandra, Mumbai. Despite the fact that the church is over a century old, the current statue of Our Lady dates from the 16th century, when Jesuit priests from Portugal relocated the statue and built a chapel. The statue has an intriguing backstory. A Koli fisherman dreamed of finding a statue in the sea, according to legend, and the statue was discovered floating in the sea between 1700 and 1760.

Bandra Fort

Bandra Fort

Bandra Fort is located at Bandra’s Land’s End, and we can only see the foundation of the fort at the moment. In early 1640 AD, the Portuguese built the fort to serve as a watchtower overlooking Mahim Bay to the south, the Arabian Sea to the west, the Worli Islands to the south, and the town of Mahim to the south west. It has several levels that rise from sea level to a height of 79 feet. The view of the sea from this location is spectacular, especially at sunset.
