Le Sutra is close to the waterfront and a number of tourist attractions. It is located near Bandra which is dubbed the Queen of Suburbs. Bandra is a vibrant mix of old-world charm and new-world chic. With quaint Portuguese-inspired homes, serene churches, and trendy restaurants, this pulsating district is the epicentre of vibrant culture. Rickshaws provide convenient transportation throughout this area and further north. It’s also close to the airport, which is three miles north and can be reached in about 20 minutes by taxi.
The 5.6-kilometer cable-stayed Bandra-Worli sea link is an engineering marvel. It is India’s first bridge of its kind built across open seas. The complex geometry of the pylons has become a staple of the city’s design iconography.
The Bandstand Promenade, also known as the Bandra Bandstand, is a 1.2-kilometer-long walkway with breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. It’s a great place to unwind and take a peaceful walk, and it’s also home to some interesting landmarks, such as the Hanging Garden, Mount Mary Church, and Bandra Fort. An amphitheatre on the Land’s End side of the promenade hosts cultural events.
Mount Mary Church, also known as Our Lady of the Mount Basilica, is a Roman Catholic basilica in Bandra, Mumbai. Despite the fact that the church is over a century old, the current statue of Our Lady dates from the 16th century, when Jesuit priests from Portugal relocated the statue and built a chapel. The statue has an intriguing backstory. A Koli fisherman dreamed of finding a statue in the sea, according to legend, and the statue was discovered floating in the sea between 1700 and 1760.
Bandra Fort is located at Bandra’s Land’s End, and we can only see the foundation of the fort at the moment. In early 1640 AD, the Portuguese built the fort to serve as a watchtower overlooking Mahim Bay to the south, the Arabian Sea to the west, the Worli Islands to the south, and the town of Mahim to the south west. It has several levels that rise from sea level to a height of 79 feet. The view of the sea from this location is spectacular, especially at sunset.
Linking Road is a shopper’s dream. The market features not only rows of shops selling clothing, shoes, jewellery, accessories, and other items, but also a number of restaurants and eateries.
Jogger’s Park is a 400-meter-long jogging track that runs along Mumbai’s beautiful Bandra coastline. It is close to Otters Club, one of the city’s premier clubs. As a gift to the city, late Sir Oliver Andrade endowed the Jogger’s Park project and initiative.
